When the Chill-a-Bowl is placed in the freezer the liquid between the layers freezes, much the same as an icepack. After leaving the bowl in the freezer for a couple of hours, remove it and fill it up with water. The liquid between the layers keeps the drinking water cool for hours, ensuring your pet is properly hydrated, and enjoys a cold one during warm weather.
